Young Meets With Astronauts to Discuss Future of NASA Space Exploration

May 19 , 2004 -- Congressman C.W. Bill Young today met with NASA Astronauts and Floridians Brent Jett, Jr. and Frank Caldeiro to discuss President Bush's new Vision for Space Exploration. This plan will refocus NASA's efforts over the next 20 years towards bold, scientifically meaningful missions to explore our solar system. Congressman Young serves as Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, which annually funds most federal programs including NASA. “NASA's past accomplishments have brought pride and hope for the future to Americans and people around the world,” said Young. “Astronauts like Brent Jett and Frank Caldeiro will lead NASA into a new era of achievement and exploration.”
